Bhat Khabo Ne Ki ?
A case study of rice farming methodology
at Gosaigaon block.

When first time I was travelling Kolkata to Kokrajhar that time I saw lots of farms. I was very cures about new crop production. That time I asked to one farmer man abuts the name of that production of the farms. He laughs on my childish question. He asked me "Bhat Khabo Ne Ki ? (You eat rice ?)" I sade, 'yes'. He sades "I am a farmer. We are producing food. But nobody cares about our struggle. Your so-called big university is not providing technology for ground level farming."I was not able to answer to this argument.

I was thinking on sophisticated model for agricultural development for growing production. When I joined my field work that time I gate information about a small act for improvement of farming system. There are some projects are working on the issue of development fo sustainable and benefiters farming model. In the medium of self-healp group social workers are working for rice encouragement in farming.

Some years age indigenous people of Assam working in traditional way in the field of farming. They are not able to use new methods for development of farming system. But because of intervention of social workers they are aware about new perspective of farming.

Randomly farming or cultivation of rice this is a traditional way of farming system. But now farmers doing farming in a new way. It's the called 'line sowing' method of farming. In this method farmer use some scientific way of cultivation of rice. In this process farmer is using line method. Firstly the farmer drowns lines in his farm. In the medium of those lining system farmer is deciding about the mapping of cultivation. There are 10 × 8 sentimeter is a proper distance are very important for cultivation of rice.

When I interact with farmers about the importance of this process they told me about production important.
There are lots of benefits of using this method. This is a scientific method of rice cultivation. That's why farmers are working on scientific measurement of cultivation. Secure distance is very important for production increasement.

Now after long intervention of social workers as well as farming activist people are using this Methodology for rice production development.
