Unlearning the learning.....

Assam has always been a world of fascination for me. Right from my from my childhood days I have been a admirer of this secenic beauty. Finally on 13 Aug 18 my dream to visit this enchanting beauty became a reality. As I was going through rural Assam I was awestruck looking at the green lush fields ponds, rivers ,tea garden and oboiusly people.
I saw Assam as any other traveler would see but it was NERSWN the NGO who started unravelling the reality of Assam to me. Suddenly the beauty came across as a camouflage and the stark reality has started hitting me hard and has made me think where is development? Where is humanity?

Some unlearning which happened so far...

All that is green is not always good...
We are placed at NERSWN It works in Kokrajhar district of Assam. We are place at  at Gosssaigoan, a neighbouring town of Kokrajhar. As we arrived we have started the journey of unlearning of what we specially, what I had learnt about Assam and what I had heard about it. As I wound title suggests a lot of green rice fields just fill the whole landscape and they look so green but I never knew the hard work which this people have to put due to lack of technology the fields tell the story of its own. The blood and sweat of Santhal tribals and Bodo tribals has resulted into the green feild which may not give them enough to survive.and their difficulties are numerous so no beauty without pain is so true here.
A lot more discoveries and unlearning is an on going process
